Man, were we fooled!

I thought Spring was here this time for sure. I was wrong. It snowed today! And it might snow this weekend – Easter Weekend! This surprise is only inconvenient, having to get out my winter coat again.
Our other surprise is more than an inconvenience. Mike’s laundry project was almost trumped. I finished my shower on Saturday and later Mike asked me to get a towel for the “spill in the kitchen”. After a little research we figured out that the “spill” was from our shower pan! Our entire bathroom is tiled. The shower floor, walls, and ceiling, and the bathroom floor and the bathroom walls up to chest level. All tiled. So, at a minimum, the shower tile needs to come out. We’ll probably end up re-doing the whole bathroom. Talk about bad timing! We decided that the laundry room needs to be finished first before Mike tackles another project. So we’ll be using our “guest bath” for the next few months. Sorry guests! We’re sharing a bathroom!
No much else is new. I’m still working part time at a local nursing home, thinking about stopping work soon. The baby is getting so far up into my ribs that it’s tough to change bandages on people’s feet. I can’t lean over very well. I hope to make it through April. We’ll see. One nice thing about the work in this nursing home is that most of the residents are nuns. You wouldn’t believe how many prayers and blessings this baby and I are getting! A perk of the job that I hadn’t anticipated.
