Summer arrived this week but I’m still stuck inside working on the laundry project. This week I finished some minimal network cabling, a pre-requisite to doing the drywall.

We now have a wired network connection in the family room adjacent to the laundry/bath. Too bad all the construction caused a nail to pop out right where my new jack is!

So I finally broke down and took some of our remodel trash to the dump. (I had to get rid of the toilet and sink from the yard before our friends John and Chloe came to visit!) I had no problem filling the explorer with boxes of drywall and junk from the teardown.

More furniture arrived too! Brow-Brow, Gracie and Alicia were happy to break in the new couch!

Fortunately, summer decided to show itself this past weekend so we were able to break in our new BBQ…Mmm burgers! We had a gas line put in to feed the BBQ and it seems to work well. It’s really convenient but we’ll wait to give the full report until we see a few months of the gas bill.
