The Many Faces of Nora

May 9th, 2007 by Mike

Our first week with Nora has been exciting, but you might not know it by looking around our house. Fortunately, the cats seem to be accepting Nora’s presence – here is our bedroom one morning this week.

Nora has been eating well but we are still struggling with getting her to sleep through the night. She seems to be most awake between midnight and 6am! But, she is very cute during the daytime when we often have to wake her for feedings. Here is a sampling of her many faces.

Oh we finally gave here a bath, too. Boy that woke her up!

We also had a one week appointment with the pediatrician. According to the doc she is doing great. No signs of jaundice and her weight is back above her birth weight. 6lbs 11oz.

Over the past few days I’ve been able to sneak into the basement to work on a much needed upgrade for the mountain bike. I added new disc brakes and swapped out the shifting system (Magura Marta’s and XTR to SRAM x.9 for you techies).

I better save this picture because it’s rare that this bike is not covered in mud.

The last picture of her looks just like her aunt Kelly!! She is so beautiful! And she’s a night shifter just like her 2nd cousin Doreen! I can always come over and sit with her when I’m off…I’m used to it! And I’m serious! Plan a night, and I’ll be there!
