Jankers

This past weekend we celebrated Grandpop Rogers’ birthday. He’s a young looking 60, don’t you think? We had Alicia’s family over for a nice dinner. We grilled some steaks and tuna steaks and had some delicious salads, potatoes, and yummy birthday cake.

Nora is doing really well these days. In fact, yesterday she took her first bottle and drank almost 3 oz. Then she let mom sleep a little over 4 hours last night. She’s awake for more time during the day, keeping Alicia busy. She goes with Alicia on most errands and so far they’ve had only one tense situation. They walked to CVS and Nora got really upset and hungry in the store. Instead of walking home and skipping the shopping, they did an emergency feeding standing in the employee restroom. Alicia said that she learned a valuable lesson – never leave the house without a burp rag and receiving blanket!

I finally finished the tile in the laundry room.

And installed the cabinets.

The trim is drying in the garage right now. So the next time I have a few hours, I’ll install the trim and then install our new washer and dryer! Alicia will be really happy to not have to go to the laundromat anymore!
