My Day
June 17th, 2007 by MikeHappy Fathers Day to all you fathers out there. It’s a great day to remember my dad who is no longer with us but was a great father. Thanks Dad!
For my first fathers day I volunteered and raced at a mountain bike race that my bike club was putting on in the woods around Neshaminy High School. It was a hot day and the course was a killer. There’s not a lot of elevation change and that actually makes the race more difficult because you don’t get any chance to stop pedalling and rest. I was happy just to finish the race in (barely) under 3 hours!
I came home just in time for dinner. Alicia made a wonderful salmon dinner while I hung out with Nora on the patio.
Nora’s wearing an outfit Alicia bought for us just after we found out we were pregnant. “Daddy’s Team” ![]()
After dinner, I put some of the finishing touches on the laundry room. I installed a shelf and towel bar and finished it off with a matching toilet flusher!
Believe it or not but this will probably be the last time I will post about the laundry room because the only thing left is to add a curtain and possibly replace the door. Yeah!
Here’s Alicia posing with Nora in the baby sling and the cloth diapers.

Go Daddy Janker! BTW, are there openings on Daddy’s Team?
The laundry room looks great. What’s next on the project list? Server closet?
