Through Water
July 8th, 2007 by AliciaNora was baptized 2 weeks ago at our new church, Christ Lutheran in Oreland, PA. It went without any problems. She looked beautiful in her gown. It was the same gown that I wore and that my mother wore for our baptisms. She also wore a bib knitted by her Great-Great Grandmother and booties knitted by her Great Aunt Dee. Nora did great during the service. She slept almost the whole time. What a relief! Mike’s brother in Seattle and his wife are Nora’s godparents. They couldn’t make it for the ceremony, so Mike’s other brother and his wife stood in for them. It meant a lot to us to have Seattle family represented! We also had my family and a few from Mike’s family in New Jersey, including Nora’s great-grandmother “Nana”. Afterwards we had a small brunch at our house. Here are a few pics of the baptism…

Proud parents
Three generations
We took Nora swimming for the first time yesterday at her Aunt Kelly’s. She did great! She did a little crying at first, but quickly warmed up and was smiling. We got the whole thing on video and a few pictures. My sister and her boyfriend had some fun laughing at us, the new parents with the cameras! Oh well. Here are a few more pics…

Love the new pics. Nora is getting soo big – such a cutie.
Next time you go swimming, we also have to go. Get the little ones playing in the water together.
