The Parking Lot
July 23rd, 2007 by MikeSorry it’s been a while since we posted. We’ve been busy learning the ups and downs of parenting. It’s definitely more difficult than I thought. Fortunately as time progresses, Nora gets better and better at interacting and that is truly a joy!
On Saturday, I took Nora on her first hike. Ok, so calling it a hike is really a stretch. I strapped her in the Baby Bjorn and we walked around the neighborhood for one hour. She did really well. I think she thrives at seeing new things. I look forward to more walks with her. Oh, and when one of our neighbors saw us, he brought over a backpack baby carrier! I’m eager to try that out too!
In a similar vein, Alicia’s been researching jog strollers. Man, they are pricey. So we opted for a used one on craigslist for less than half the price. Our front living room is starting to look like a parking lot.
But, as luck would have it, today we have a dose of Seattle weather – a steady, light rain. Oh well, at least it’s cool for once, and the shrubs love it!
