Jankers

Since I’ve been working part time, Nora’s been getting more practice at bottle feeding from her Dad. I don’t have to hide anymore while she’s eating! Here they are. Nora’s just hanging out like it’s no big deal. What a change from a month ago!

Nora’s been getting teased by her Dad lately. We have a bunch of hand-me-downs from my girldfriend that has twin boys. So Nora has some clothes that are “gender neutral”. The other day she wore a gray sweatsuit. Mike started calling her Norman. Poor girl! With that sweatsuit on, with it buttoned all the way up and the hood bunched up, I thought she looked more like Rocky. How cute!

This has nothing to do with Nora’s political affiliations. Her Gram and Grandpop just got back from Africa and brought her an elephant! Nora’s hardly holding onto things at this point, but if I put things in her fingers then she can. It works best when it’s small, curvy things that I can wrap around her fingers. Then it takes her a while to let go. That means she’s holding onto them, right? For now, the elephant will stay high up on a shelf in her room. We’re gonna stick with plastic keys for a while.

Not much else is new here. We just had a few days of cold weather. It really felt like Autumn. But it’s supposed to go back up to 90 degrees today! Tomorrow they say it will feel like 100 with the humidity. Oh, the east coast humidity. I don’t know if it’s the humidity or the mosquitos that drive me more nuts. I’m sure it’s the mosquitos. They’re awful. They are a reason to look forward to Autumn!
