Fall Sports
November 15th, 2007 by MikeIn the beginning of the month I did my first hike in Pennsylvania with the Men’s Group from our church. It was an out and back on a rail-trail near Harrisburg (about a 2 hour drive). Although I went into it thinking it would be really easy, I was tired by the end of our 10 mile stroll. It was chilly but the fall colors were still lingering.
The next day, I had cross race at Spring Mountain, a local ski area about 45 min from our house. Note the shallow grade and the snow machines in the background!
I’ve been struggling in the Elite Masters (35+) class but in this race I pulled off a season high 5th place out of 22 racers. Maybe it was because I had family present cheering me on!
Nora has been pretty easy to entertain lately and there’s nothing better than hearing her laugh. Recall we installed that fancy deep sink to rinse Nora’s diapers? Well I found this picture on the camera. Someone needs to tell Alicia to take Nora OUT of the diaper before rinsing!

Alicia-what a great picture of you, your mom and Nora! Congrats on your 5th place finish, Mike!!!
