Halloween

November 9th, 2008 by Alicia

Here are the costume pics. Nora was a lion. We borrowed the costume from a friend at church. She warned me that we needed to practice with the costume so Nora would get used to the mane. Well, practice we did! Over several weeks. The first try was screaming. Then whimpering. It got easier and by Halloween it was old hat! Nora left that costume on for hours!

Ready for trick or treating

Nora really go the hang of trick or treating. She came home with a full bucket. She’s also learned that she can chew through most candy wrappers.

We had a visitor a few weeks ago. Our friend Dave – Mike’s best man in our wedding – came to visit from Oakland, CA. It was short few days, but he learned all about life with an 18 month old. Here’s Nora winning him over with her alphabet magnets.

Here is Nora and Brow Brow. She’s learned how to say “Bow Bow.” This is her new name for all cats, including Gracie. Sort of like how “Daddy” is her name for both of her parents and “down” is what she says when she wants to get both on and off the sofa.

She is to cute as a lion. I am sorry I missed it person I bet she was cuter in person. I hope she had a great Halloween and didn’t get a stomach from all the candy.

Sorry we didn’t get to come visit for Halloween this year! The lion and the cow would have looked cute together! Ben can make a really good lion noise :)
