Happy Thanksgiving!
November 28th, 2008 by MikeFall came and went quickly this year and now it’s winter! The other day Alicia pulled out the blanket and auxiliary heaters just to keep warm. If these cats knew they were that close there would be trouble.
Despite the cold, I took Nora out for a bike ride. We rode to the park about 2 miles away, then hiked on the trail for about 100 yards. It was in the low 30’s so we didn’t stay out for long.
Lot’s new with Nora. She’s understanding a ton but only saying a few words, like ki-ki (kitty), juice and bike. Oh, she now knows her name, but to us it sounds like Dooora! We’re not sure if she says it that way because the neighbor calls her Dora, or because she just can’t get the N out yet.
She’s now walking up and down the stairs by using the railing or just a hand on the wall. She can do it alone but we try to always stay close since she’s easily distracted. She’s also really enjoying her books…and sometimes the catches up on magazines.
One of Nora’s favorite things to do is balance standing on Daddy’s gut. Here she is, raising her hands in the air just to show off. Inevitably she falls and Daddy always catches her!
