Oh Summer! Wait for Us, We’re Coming!

July 19th, 2009 by Alicia

People kept telling me that June is a great time to have a baby. Those people must not realize that there’s recovery involved after delivery! I thought I was feeling pretty good, but I guess I was wrong. I had a setback in my recovery, so I was given instructions to REST! It’s been a tough few weeks. It’s really hard to rest with a newborn and a two year old. Mike has taken over most of the housework and meal planning, including making lunches for me and Nora before he goes to work. I’ve been on the couch, and Nora’s been watching TV. And the weather has been beautiful! I just hope that we can get out to enjoy it before Summer’s over! The good news is that I seem to be improving, so I’m gradually increasing my activities.

Here are pictures from the last few weeks (all taken inside!).

This is what Nora does when I tell her to smile for the camera.

On another note, I’m updating my movie queue on Netflix. Any recommendations?

love the new pictures and sorry to hear the recovery issues. REgarding the netflix suggestions – we just saw Knowing with Nicholas Cage and it was REALLY good, scary but good.

Precious pictures. For having been under the weather, you look great–more beautiful than ever. Motherhood definitely agrees with you. This is a great way to keep people up to date. I may start a blog this winter when things slow down and I have more computer time for fun things.

    Keep those pictures coming…
