Poconos
August 22nd, 2009 by MikeAugust has been very busy for us. The month started out with a trip to the Poconos with the Rogers family. We stayed in a beautiful house on a country club (thanks Grandpop!) and went to the pool and the beach on a small private lake. But the bulk of the time was just hanging out in the house, cooking meals together. It was a lot of fun and Nora loved spending the days with her cousin Olivia.
One day we forgot the swim diaper so we got to see how much water a real diaper could hold. Cute look for Nora, eh?
Aunt Kelly snuck out before we could catch a photo of her in our cool shirts!
One morning, Alicia, Nora, Levi, and I took a trip to Bushkill falls. Nora did an awesome job with her first real hike. She hiked most of the 3/4 mile hike down to the bottom of the falls and up the other side. (Alicia did pretty well too, despite the extra weight!)
About two weeks ago Levi started to smile. Yeah, he’s finally giving us some real feedback! He’s happiest in the morning but he’ll have happy periods throughout the day too. I was able to capture a few smiles the other day but as you can hear in the background, Nora was feeling left out.
Stay tuned for more updates soon: Mark, Mari and Katelyn visit, Camden Aquarium trip, and Levi’s baptism!

Wonderful pictures! I “cracked up” smiling at Levi’s smile video.
