Holiday Happenings

December 14th, 2009 by Alicia

Thanksgiving came and went so fast. We spent the day at my parents’ house with both of my sisters.
Here’s Levi and Aunt Jody.

And now we’re fully into Christmas. I realize that it’s Advent, and not quite Christmas, but I’m really excited this year. We put our tree up super early – the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I’m finished our shopping and our cards. I am a little saddened that we’ve sort of skipped Advent. Nora was sick and now Levi’s sick. We missed church twice this month. I’ve been trying to talk to Nora more about Jesus being born on Christmas, but she’s hearing a lot about Santa. She’s already told me that Santa’s bringing her toys for Christmas. That’s news to me and Mike! We thought we had at least one more year without worrying about presents for our children.

Here’s the Santa picture at the mall.

Here are some pictures from the snow we had a few weeks ago.

And Nora with her “friends” Tiger (not Tigger), Piglet, Mommy, and Monkey. They were looking out the window.

All of Nora’s books in a box! This is what we do when it’s 30 degrees out.

Now we’re getting ready for our big trip to Seattle. Ten days in the Emerald City. Levi’s first plane trip and the first time meeting his Grandma and most of his Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. We’re really excited!
We hope that you have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy New Year!

It’s the middle of January, and I just now had a chance to look at your new pictures. They’re a blast! I’m sure you had a wonderful Christmas and trip to Seattle. I’ll bet you’re still recovering from it as well. But it was time…

    Love,

    Virginia

I love your pictures. The best is Alicia and Nora waiting for the furry!!!
Nora is so happy in your pictures, but the pictures only reflect the smiles she brings to all of us.
