Guilty Pleasures

GUILTY PLEASURES

We all have them. You know, those songs or bands that you like that you really shouldn't admit to. Maybe it's a disco treasure or pop trash or some red-hot Wayne Newton. Here's your chance to bare your (guilty) soul!

I'll take the plunge first, why not -- Beyoncé's "Crazy In Love". "Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, oh no no..." The production is just so over-the-top, but heard at the appropriate volume? Funky. (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=1657902&s=143441&i=1657896). --TTop

Fine. I'll say it. Prepare to be shocked. Plug your ears. I like... uh... not all but several... songs by... recordings of... Oh I can't!.. but I must.. fine. ABBA. There I said it. Disown me if you will. My guess is that it has something to do with my childhood. I was very young then, you see. And I was exposed to all that Dancing Queen stuff. And well, years later I realized that I like that flanging compression, strings, mono-synth lines, and driving bass. --Jek
