War Of The Worlds
So forgive me, but I'm completely ignorant on War Of The Worlds. Is it the movie soundtrack? (7 discs doesn't make sense). Perhaps you could elaborate? --TTop, 15 Aug 2005
Nope. In 1978, Jeff Wayne released a musical version (http://chrisspedding.com/session/jw/jw1.htm) of the book with a variety of different musicians including Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues, David Essex, and Jo Partridge. Richard Burton does a fine job narrating the story. The biggest hit from the album is "Forever Autumn". --Jek 09:28, 19 Sep 2005 (PDT)
Rufus Wainwright - Want Two
Ok, I'll confess: I haven't really got into Want Two. I've owned it for quite a while, but it's never really grabbed me. My first reaction to the album was that thinking that it was a bit self-indulgent. I put it on tonight again (it's still on now) since we're seeing him in concert in a couple weeks. I've heard it probably three times, so I don't know what to think at this point. Nothing from the album has got stuck in my head so far, whereas his earlier albums have tracks that will stick with me as an earworm. Ok "Crumb By Crumb" is on right now and I'll admit that's catchy -- maybe that will stick with me. --TTop 22:36, 15 Aug 2005 (PDT)
