To-Do List
From MC6
Current To-Do's
Add your to-do's for the wiki here.
- Try to restore backup image. (This should be fun!) --Jek 21:23, 3 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Need to create a silly, yet poignant upload license. --Jek 21:10, 3 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Input the playlists as structured data when Wikidata is available. This will allow database-like access to playlist selections. Wikidata is supposed to be released in September 2005, but has already slipped. Here is the current timeline. Note: this will require some work to upgrade this wiki and possibly addition database configuration. --Jek 09:53, 1 Aug 2005 (PDT)
Recently Completed
- Jek recently configured the wiki to email passwords correctly. --TTop 00:41, 22 Feb 2006 (PST)
- Updated aliases on playlists --TTop 21:26, 17 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Created accounts for Sgraph, mark, and lhohm. --TTop 21:12, 17 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Turn on caching to speed up the wiki. --Jek
- TTop, How about a Who Is MC6? page that gives a general description and links to our user pages? --Jek 18:51, 15 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Good idea! Done! --TTop 00:05, 16 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Notify MC6 members of this cool wiki. --TTop 23:45, 15 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Create user accounts for the users. --Jek 09:53, 1 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Fix the Editing help link (opens in a new window). --Jek 09:53, 1 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Copied the Editing help text from WikiMedia.org. (See our Help:Editing page for details.) --Jek 23:02, 15 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Enable uploads for images. --Jek 21:01, 1 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Need to change navigation link to Playlists again -- I moved the page from "MC6:Playlists" to "Playlists" to avoid an issue with templating when the Main Page doesn't update along with the template due to them being in different namespaces. From what I could tell, "MC6:Playlists" was the only page using the "MC6:" namespace prefix. --TTop 12:55, 1 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Ah, that's strange, I would have thought you could just have put MC6:Playlists in the main page. No problem though, I've changed the link. The Project (MC6) namespace was left over from the original "Community Portal" link that was there. All should be good now. --Jek 15:53, 1 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- I see you have another set of playlist links on the main page now. If you really want them there, perhaps you should try and embed them. You may be able to use templates. Templates seem powerful and complex. (Disclaimer: I haven't really read too much about them.) --Jek 09:53, 1 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Good idea -- I muddled through the templating docs enough to do a simple page reference. I think it's worth having the playlists directly on the front page just because it seems like that will be the primary usage of this wiki. At some point in the future when we have too many playlists for one page, we could just reference the most recent ones. --TTop 12:51, 1 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Change "Play Lists" navigation bar to "Playlists" -- what do you think, Jek? The dictionary widget seems to think the one-word form is ok. It looks like you must've customized it once before, so I'll leave that to you if you're willing. --TTop 22:26, 31 Jul 2005 (PDT)
- Yeah, I looked around briefly on this issue and it seems to be all over the map (space, no space). Since you have a preference, I changed. I also renamed (moved) the Playlists page. --Jek 09:53, 1 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Also, what do you think about using the 24 May 2005 date format? I like it because it is less ambiguous. --TTop 22:26, 31 Jul 2005 (PDT)
- Added timezone suggestion to Main page --TTop 12:23, 1 Aug 2005 (PDT)
